(1) Generator solenoid (2) Flow control valve (3) Generator valve (4) Port "TA" (5) Port "TP" |
Generator valve (3) is mounted to the top of the generator pump.
Generator valve (3) contains generator solenoid (1). The generator control switch on the center console controls this solenoid. When the switch is in the ON position, the generator solenoid is energized. When this solenoid is energized, oil is sent to the generator motor.
Generator valve (3) contains flow control valve (2) and two pressure taps. Pump supply pressure can be measured at the pressure tap which is located at port "TP" (5). Signal pressure can be measured at the pressure tap which is located at port "TA" (4). The pump compensator valve controls the maximum pressure in this system.
When the engine is operating at high idle and under no load, flow control valve (2) should be adjusted in order to produce a frequency of 62.5 ± 1 Hz at the power outlets. When the engine is operating at high idle and under full load, the frequency at the power outlets should be between 58 Hz and 64 Hz.
