General Information (Cooling System)

The machine is equipped with an electronically controlled cooling fan. The fan is operated hydraulically. The control system regulates the fan speed according to the temperatures of the following:
- Coolant
- Intake air
- Hydraulic oil
As the temperature increases, the fan speed increases. This system reduces noise and uses less energy than a single speed fan.
The cooling fan system section of this presentation is divided into segments. The first seven segments show the location of all hydraulic components and all electrical components which are part of the cooling fan system. A brief discussion of each component is provided. Cross-sectional views of selected components are also used in order to further explain the operation of components in the cooling fan system.
