Front of Center Console (1) Ventilation exhaust stack | |
Ventilation exhaust stack (1) is located in the center of the machine. The ventilation system draws fumes from the asphalt through vents. The vents are located directly above the conveyor discharge area. The exhaust stack removes the fumes from the operator area.
The ventilation exhaust stack is hinged. The hinge allows the exhaust stack to be tilted in order to reduce machine height.

Ventilation motor (2) is located under ventilation exhaust stack (1) in the center of the machine. This gear type motor turns a blower which is located inside housing (3). The blower draws the asphalt fumes through vents in the material feed tunnel. The blower pushes the fumes out the ventilation exhaust stack.
Ventilation shutoff valve (4) is located in the inlet line to ventilation motor (2). This valve is open when the handle is parallel to the hose. This valve is closed when the handle is perpendicular to the hose. The ventilation motor operates when the valve is open.
