Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

- Attach a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (10). The weight of turbocharger (10) is approximately
34 kg (75 lb) . - Install gasket (22) and turbocharger (10).
- Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of four bolts (21).
- Install bolts (21) and the four locknuts. Do not tighten the bolts completely at this time.

Illustration 2 g01153788 - Loosen the nuts on V-band clamps (23) and (25) to allow cartridge assembly (24) and compressor housing (26) to rotate.

- Connect tube assembly (14).
- Install elbow (15) and clamp (16).
- Tighten clamp (16).

- Tighten four bolts (21) to a torque of
55 ± 9 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft) . - Tighten the nuts on V-band clamps (23) and (25) to a torque to a torque of
14 ± 1 N·m (124 ± 9 lb in) . - Lightly tap around the diameter of V-band clamps (23) and (25) with a soft hammer.
- Tighten the nuts on V-band clamps (23) and (25) to a torque to a torque of
14 ± 1 N·m (124 ± 9 lb in) .Show/hide tableIllustration 6 g01158494 - Install exhaust joint (11) and clamp (9) to turbocharger (10).
- Tighten clamp (9).
- Install two metal seal rings (8).
Note: Install metal seal rings (8) with the ring end gaps 180 degrees apart.

- Install three bolts (6).
- Install two retainers (5) and two bolts (4).

- Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the capacity of the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (DEAC) - Change" or Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Extended Life Coolant - Change" for the proper filling procedure.
