Start By:
- Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all wires, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. The procedure helps to prevent fluid loss, and helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, clean the exterior of the component thoroughly. The procedure will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Note: The torque converter outlet relief valve is fastened to the left side of the torque converter housing.

- Remove upper cover (1) and firewall (2).

- Remove pressure tap (4) and temperature sensor (6).
- Remove clamp (9).
- Disconnect hose assembly (7).
- Remove three bolts (5) and electrical connector mount (8).
- Remove torque converter outlet relief valve (10) from the torque converter housing.
