Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".

1. Position a suitable jack under rear bottom guard (1). The weight of rear bottom guard (1) is approximately 65 kg (144 lb).

2. Remove five bolts (2) and lower rear bottom guard (1) onto pin (3).

3. Position a suitable jack under front bottom guard (6). The weight of the front bottom guard (6) is approximately 65 kg (144 lb).

4. Remove five bolts (4) and lower front bottom guard (6) onto pin (5).

5. Swing front bottom guard (1) and rear bottom guard (6) to the side to allow access to the engine compartment.

Installation Procedure

1. Swing rear bottom guard (1) and front bottom guard (6) to the centre position under the engine compartment.

2. Position a suitable jack under front bottom guard (6). The weight of front bottom guard (6) is approximately 65 kg (144 lb).

3. Raise front bottom guard (6) and install five bolts (4).

4. Position a suitable jack under rear bottom guard (1). The weight of rear bottom guard (1) is approximately 65 kg (144 lb).

5. Raise rear bottom guard (1) and install five bolts (2).

End By:

1. Remove the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".
