Removal Procedure

1. Remove bolt (4) and the clip from the engine block.

2. Loosen clamp (2) and remove the hose from crankcase breather (3) .

3. Remove bolt (1) and remove crankcase breather (3) from the fuel filter base.

4. Use Tooling (A) to remove fuel filter (10) .

5. Disconnect tube assemblies (5) and (7) from fuel filter base (9) .

6. Remove O-ring seal (6) .

7. Remove bolts (8) from fuel filter base (9) .

8. Remove fuel filter base (9) and the gasket from the engine.

9. Remove fuel pressure relief valve (11) from fuel filter base (9), if necessary.

1. Install fuel pressure relief valve (11) on fuel filter base (9) .

2. Inspect the condition of the gasket. Replace the gasket, if necessary.

3. Position the gasket and fuel filter base (9) on the engine.

4. Install bolts (8) that secure fuel filter base (9) on the engine.

5. Connect tube assemblies (5) and (7) to fuel filter base (9) .

6. Use Tooling (A) to install fuel filter (10) .

7. Install O-ring seal (6) on fuel filter base (9) .

8. Inspect the filter in crankcase breather (3). Replace the filter, if necessary.

9. Position crankcase breather (3) on the fuel filter base and install bolt (1). Tighten the bolt to a torque of 7 ± 2 N·m (62 ± 18 lb in).

10. Install the hose on crankcase breather (3) and tighten clamp (2) .

11. Install the clip and bolt (4) on the hose.
