Description of Change: A new retaining ring is now used in the low forward and reverse clutches in the transmissions on the listed machines.

The former retaining ring was machined with notches in order to remove the retaining ring with retaining ring pliers. The notches in the former retaining ring were prone to fracturing. The new retaining ring is machined with flattened ends in order to be removed with a screwdriver.

Adaptable To: The new 8T-1742 Retaining Ring replaces the former 8C-4400 Retaining Ring in the low forward and reverse clutches on the following machines.
