Installation Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

  1. Install water pump (10) .

  1. Install bolts (9) .

  1. Position elbow (8) to the original location. Install bolts (7) .

  1. Install bracket (5) and install bolts (6) .

  1. Connect hose assembly (4) .

  1. Slide clamp (3) downward and tighten clamp (3) .

  1. Install plate (2) and bolts (1) .

  1. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Level - Check" for the correct procedure.

End By:

  1. Install the alternator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Alternator - Remove and Install".
  2. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Tank (Right Side) - Remove".
