Left Turn Signal (1) - The green indicator will flash in unison with the left turn signal. An audible alarm will sound if the turn signals are left on for more than two minutes. The signal circuit is wired into the instrument cluster.


High Secondary Steering (2) (If Equipped) - The red indicator will light when the secondary steering pressure is high. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM. The engine ECM receives the signal from the power train ECM via the CAT data link.


Low Primary Steering Pressure (3) - The red indicator will light and the action alarm will sound when the primary steering flow is not functioning. The alarm will only sound when the engine is running. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the power train ECM. The engine ECM receives the signal from the power train ECM via the CAT data link.

Do not operate the machine until the cause has been corrected.


Low Brake Pressure (4) - The red indicator will light when the brake oil pressure is low. If this alert indicator comes on, stop the machine immediately. Engage the parking brake and stop the engine. Investigate the cause. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM.


High Air Inlet Temperature (5) - The amber indicator will light when the air inlet temperature is above normal. The indicator should go off after the engine is warmed up. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM.


Action Lamp (6) - If the red indicator lamp comes on the machine needs to be serviced soon. If the lamp comes on and an action alarm sounds stop the machine immediately. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM.


Fuel Pressure (7) - The amber indicator will light when the fuel pressure is below normal or above normal. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM.


Parking Brake (8) - The red indicator will light when the parking brake is engaged. The alert indicator should come on during start-up when the parking brake is applied. The alert indicator should go out when the parking brake is released. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM. The engine ECM receives the signal from the power train ECM via the CAT data link.


Low Engine Oil Pressure (9) - The red indicator will light when the engine oil pressure is low. If this alert indicator comes on, stop the machine immediately. Stop the engine and investigate the cause. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM.


Transmission Oil Filter (10) - The amber indicator will light when the transmission oil filter has been bypassed. Change your filter. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM.


Low Battery Charge (11) - The red indicator will light when there is a malfunction in the electrical system. If this alert indicator comes on, the system voltage is too high for normal machine operation or too low for normal machine operation. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM.

If electrical loads (air conditioning and/or lighting) are high and the engine speed is near idle, increase the engine speed to high idle. This will generate more output from the alternator. If the alert indicator for the electrical system turns off within one minute, the electrical system is probably operating in a normal manner. However, the electrical system may be overloaded during periods of low engine speeds.

Modify the operating cycle in order to prevent overloading the electrical system and discharging the batteries.

Low idle must be set correctly. Adjust for the high side of the Low Idle specification while the most often used electrical loads are turned on. In order to reduce the loads, use the Medium fan speed instead of the High fan speed.

If this procedure does not cause the alert indicator to turn off, move to a convenient location. Investigate the cause (loose alternator belt, broken alternator belt, damaged batteries, etc).

If the engine speed is near operating speeds and if the electrical loads are light, the alert indicator may remain on. If the alert indicator remains on, move to a convenient location. Investigate the cause (loose alternator belt, broken alternator belt, damaged batteries, etc).


Right Turn Signal (12) - The green indicator will flash in unison with the right turn signal. An audible alarm will sound if the turn signals are left on for more than two minutes. The signal circuit is wired into the instrument cluster.


Turn Signals For The Bucket (13) - The green indicator will flash in unison with the turn signals. The signal circuit is wired into the instrument cluster.


Transmission Neutralizer (14) - The green indicator will light when the transmission neutralizer is disabled. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM. The engine ECM receives the signal from the power train ECM via the CAT data link.


High Beam Headlight (15) - This blue indicator will illuminate when the high beam lights are activated. The signal circuit is wired into the instrument cluster.


High Brake (axle) Oil Temperature (16) - The amber indicator will light when the brake oil temperature is above normal. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM.


Ride Control (17) - The green indicator will light when the ride control is active. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM. The engine ECM receives the signal from the power train ECM via the CAT data link.


Starting Aid (18) - The amber indicator will light when the starting aid is activated. The signal is received via the CAN data link from the engine ECM.

Hydraulic Oil Temperature (19) - The gauge indicates the temperature of the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic sump for the steering and transmission circuits. The gauge represents the hydraulic oil temperature of 45 °C (113 °F) to 135 °C (275 °F). If the pointer enters the red zone, the hydraulic oil temperature is 104 °C (219 °F). If necessary, reduce the load that is on the machine until the hydraulic oil temperature decreases.


Engine Coolant Temperature (20) - The gauge represents the coolant temperature of 45 °C (113 °F) to 122 °C (252 °F). If the pointer enters the red zone, the coolant temperature is 107 °C (225 °F). Increased temperatures will sound the warning alarm. Machine operation during the sounding of the alarm may damage the engine. Also, machine operation with the pointer in the red zone may damage the engine. Stop the machine in a safe place and investigate the cause.


Tachometer - The tachometer displays the engine speed in revolutions per minute (RPM).


Transmission Oil Temperature (22) - The gauge indicates the temperature of the transmission oil. The gauge represents the transmission oil temperature of 45 °C (113 °F) to 145 °C (293 °F). If the pointer enters the red zone, the hydraulic oil temperature is 129 °C (264 °F). If necessary, reduce the load that is on the machine until the hydraulic oil temperature decreases.


Fuel Level (23) - The fuel level gauge indicates the amount of fuel that is left in the fuel tank. The fuel level gauge indicates a percentage from 7% to 95%. The red zone indicates 10%.

LCD Displays

The digital LCD displays in the Instrument Cluster can display different sets of data. The following items are displayed in the left LCD:

  • Engine speed

  • Gear

  • Direction

  • Status of Diagnostic Code (Service Mode)

  • Modular Identifier (MID) (Service Mode)

The following item is displayed in the right LCD:

  • Service hour meter

  • Odometer

  • Component Identifier (CID) (Service Mode)

  • Failure Mode Identifier (FMI) (Service Mode)

When the engine is running and when the transmission selector lever is moved to forward or reverse, the odometer will be displayed. When the transmission selector lever is placed in neutral for more than three seconds, the hour meter will be displayed.

In order to enter the Service Mode, cycle the key switch three times within ten seconds. The Service Mode is exited by turning the key start switch to the OFF position for five seconds. Refer to Systems Operation, "Diagnostic Operation" for further details.
