Purging Air from the Parking Brake

  1. Place wheel chocks in front of the tires and behind the tires in order to prevent the machine from moving. Start the engine. Move the parking brake switch to the OFF position.

  1. Move the direction selector switch to the FORWARD or the REVERSE position.

  1. Slowly push down the accelerator pedal until the machine barely moves. This releases the parking brake.

  1. Slowly unscrew breather valve (6). When only oil flows out of this port, screw in breather valve (6) .

  1. Release the accelerator pedal and allow the machine to idle.

  1. Repeat Step 3, Step 4, and Step 5 for the other three breather valves.

  1. Stop the engine.

Purging Air from the Service Brake

  1. Place wheel chocks in front of the tires and behind the tires in order to prevent the machine from moving. Start the machine. Ensure that the direction selector switch is in the NEUTRAL position.

  1. Push down on the service brake pedal. This engages the service brake by sending hydraulic oil to the brake piston.

  1. Slowly unscrew breather valve (7) on the rear axle. When only oil begins to flow out of this port, screw in breather valve (7) .

  1. Release the service brake pedal.

  1. Repeat Step 2, Step 3, and Step 4 for the other three breather valves.

  1. Stop the engine.
