A remote transmission control may be installed on machines above. The remote transmission control is integrated into the single lever hydraulic implement handle. This option allows the operator to steer with the left hand and activate the implements and change machine direction with the operator's right hand. This is available as a factory installed or field installed attachment.
The 149-4360 Transmission Control, the field installed option for the 928G or IT28G, can be ordered by completing a miscellaneous shipping order to the factory in Clayton, NC. See Chart 1 for the parts contained in the kit.
The 150-3716 Transmission Control, the field installed option for the 914G or IT14G, can be ordered by completing a miscellaneous shipping order to the factory in Leicester, England. See Chart 2 for the parts contained in the kit.
The machines direction change is made by moving the three position rocker switch on the implement lever. The center position of the switch is neutral. Engaging the switch in the top position is forward direction. Engaging the switch in the bottom position is the reverse direction.
When a direction is selected, the letter "F" , "N", or "R" illuminates. Gear Selection Criteria:
1. The neutral indicator will only illuminate if both the shift handle and the remote transmission control switch are in the neutral position.
2. The transmission shift handle and the transmission control switch must be in "NEUTRAL" position to start the machine.
3. If both the transmission shift handle and the transmission control switch are in gear or one is in gear and the park brake applied, the direction indicator will not illuminate "F" or "R".
4. Only one control can be used, while the other remains in "NEUTRAL".
5. If both controls are in gear, the machine defaults to "NEUTRAL".
6. In order to select a valid gear, both handles must be returned to "NEUTRAL".
The F-N-R option can be retrofitted to the machines listed in Chart 3.
In order to install the 149-4360 Transmission Control on a 928G or IT28G machine check the Product Identification of the machine. If the machine was built after the machines listed in Chart 3, the machine should have the necessary harnesses listed in Chart 4.
In order to install the 150-4360 Transmission Control on a 914G or IT14G machine check the Product Identification of the machine. If the machine was built after the machines listed in Chart 3, the machine should have the necessary harnesses listed in Chart 5.
