The latest VIMS Service Manual, SENR6059-06, "VITAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM" is available.

This new revision includes:

* Updated "System Operation" section.

* Updated listing of VIMS message center abbreviations and full names.

* Updated and expanded Failure Mode Identifiers (FMI) definitions.

* Updated MID/CID/FMI listing to include 785C, 789C 793C and 994D.

* Updated parameter list to include 9.6X class of onboard software parameters and their definitions.

* Updated and expanded the "Abbreviated Troubleshooting Procedures".

* Component Identifier (CID) test procedures have been updated. There are now individual test procedures for each CID/FMI combination. Mini circuit schematics have been included with most test procedures.

* New 9.6X class of onboard software features (new service program code "ESET")

* Testing and adjusting section of the manual has been reorganized to improve usability.

* System operation section of the manual has been reorganized to improve usability.

* Updated and expanded Truck Payload (TPS) section of the manual.

* New troubleshooting procedures for LED lamps used on off-highway trucks.

* Updated all VIMS machine schematics.

* New comprehensive table of contents.

* New comprehensive index that aids in locating information quickly.

* A worksheet has been added to help prevent loss of stored data during an onboard software update.

NOTE: The VIMS Service Manual, SENR6059-05, "VITAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM" was used to convert this manual to an electronic medium, which was unchanged from SENR6059-04. SENR6059-05 was never printed.
