Parking Brake - Manual Release

Usage:

826K 232

------ WARNING! ------

It is possible for the machine to move suddenly when the brakes are released. This can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.

To prevent sudden movement of the machine, put blocks in front of and behind the wheels before the brakes are released. If the machine is to be towed, be sure that the released brake(s) can be reapplied or that the towing machine can stop the machine that is being towed.

Introduction

The following procedure describes how to release the parking brake manually in case there is no system oil pressure or low system oil pressure available.

Test Preparation

  1. Move the machine to a hard, level surface that is dry and free of debris.

  2. Place wood blocks in front of the tires and behind the rear tires in order to keep the machine from rolling when the parking brake is disengaged.

  3. Install the steering frame lock.
