Remote control engine stop circuit

The components of the remote control engine stop circuit are the remote control switch, the interface control module, and the Engine Electronic Control Module (Engine ECM).

With the key start switch in the ON position, 24 volt power is supplied from the batteries via circuit breaker 10 and circuit breaker 14 to remote control switch (1) and Power Train ECM (3) .

When remote control switch (1) is in the ON position, 24 volt power is supplied to interface control module (5). When the transmitter sends a stop engine signal to the receiver, the receiver sends a signal to interface control module (5). Interface control module (5) de-energizes relay 13 for engine stop (4). With relay 13 for engine stop (4) de-energized 24 volt power is stopped to J1-40 on the engine ECM (2). The engine will shutdown.

Connector contact 15 connects to J1-40 of the Engine ECM.
