Note: Apply the 154-9731 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of the 34 bolts.

(1) Torque for the 34 bolts ... 300 ± 40 N·m (220 ± 30 lb ft)

Use the following procedure in order to assemble the elbow assembly in the left side of final drive group (2) :

1. Orient the elbow assembly to an angle (B) of 45 degrees.

2. Again rotate the elbow assembly to 10 degrees in the clockwise direction from vertical.

Use the following procedure in order to assemble the elbow assembly in the right side of final drive group (3) :

1. Orient the elbow assembly to an angle (C) of 45 degrees.

2. Again rotate the elbow assembly to 45 degrees in the counterclockwise direction from vertical.

(D) The idler collapsed within 3.0 mm to 4.0 mm (0.12 inch to 0.16 inch) from the side plate. Shim the rollers within ± 1.0 mm (± 0.04 inch) from the centerline of the idler and the drive shaft.
