Introduction

This Special Instruction provides the procedure for accessing the license information for CAT ET software that is installed on a laptop computer.

Starting CAT ET

Perform the following procedure in order to start CAT ET.

1. Click the "Start" button for your laptop computer.

2. Click the "Programs" button under the "Start" menu.

3. Click "Caterpillar ET" button under the "Programs" menu.

4. Click "Electronic Technician" under the "Caterpillar ET" menu.

5. Click the "Stop Connect" button (1) in the "Communication Initialization" screen. Refer to Illustration 1.

Accessing the License Information

Perform the following procedure in order to access the license information for CAT ET.

1. Select the "Help" button (2) on the main menu. Refer to Illustration 2.

2. Select "About Electronic Technician" (3) from the pull-down menu under the "Help" button. Refer to Illustration 2.

   A screen will appear in order to provide information about your license for CAT ET. Refer to Illustration 3.
