Removal Procedure

Start By:
- Remove the radiator, the air cooler, and the hydraulic oil cooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator, Air Cooler, and Hydraulic Oil Cooler - Remove".
- Loosen clamp (2) and remove hose (1) .

- Loosen clamp (3) and remove hose (4) .
- Remove bolts (6) and air cleaner assembly (5) .

- Loosen bolts (9) and lower the exhaust clamp on the pipe.

- Remove bolts (8) and muffler (7) .
- Disconnect harness assemblies (12) and (13) from alternator (10) .

- Disconnect cable assembly (11) from alternator (10) .
- Remove cable straps (14) and (15) .

- Disconnect harness assemblies (16) and (17) .
- Disconnect harness assembly (18) .

- Remove bolt (20), bolt (23), and belt guard (21).

- Loosen bolts (19) and (25) and push air conditioner compressor (22) toward the engine in order to loosen belt (24) .
- Remove bolts (19) and (25) and lay air conditioner compressor (22) out of the way.
- Remove bolt (26), bolt (27), and the clamps. Move the harness assemblies and cable assemblies out of the way.

- Remove bolt (28) and the clamp.

- Remove nut (30) and cable harness (31) from electric starting motor (29) .

- Remove cable strap (33) .
- Remove screw (35) and cable harness (32) from electric starting motor (29) .
- Remove cable harness (34) from electric starting motor (29) .
- Remove cable strap (36). Disconnect harness assembly (37) .

- Remove cable strap (38). Disconnect harness assembly (39) .
- Loosen clamp (41) and remove hose (47) .
- Loosen clamp (43) and remove hose (46) .
- Loosen clamp (42) and remove hose (44) .
- Disconnect hose assembly (45) .
- Remove cable straps (48) and move the harness assembly out of the way.

- Attach a suitable lifting device and Tooling (A) to engine (49) .

- Remove bolts (51) from the rear of engine (49) .
- Remove bolts (50) and remove engine (49) from the machine. The weight of engine (49) is approximately 284 kg (625 lb).
