Shipping of replacement glass that is flat or curved will now be carried out by using a direct shipping process. This means that replacement glass orders will be shipped directly from the supplier to the customer. This will greatly reduce the amount of broken glass that is received by the dealers.

Additionally, the direct shipping process utilizes a new method of packaging. When packages are received with the new direct shipping process, the packages can be easily opened and inspected. It is unlikely that the glass will be damaged in one of the direct shipping cartons. If the glass is damaged, file a claim with the freight carrier. Refer to the packaging that is shown in Illustrations 1 and 2. If the glass is packaged in any other manner, process the claims as a parts stock warranty.
