Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the piston pump (right propel). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Right Propel) - Remove".

2. Remove the piston pump (left propel). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Left Propel) - Remove".

1. Attach Tooling (A) to pump drive (1). Attach a suitable lifting device to pump drive (1). The weight of pump drive (1) is approximately 131 kg (289 lb).

2. Loosen bolts (3) on both side of pump drive (1). Raise pump drive (1) slightly and install suitable blocks under the rear of engine (2). Lower engine (2) onto the blocks.

3. Loosen clamp (5) and disconnect hose (4) from pump drive (1).

4. Remove bolts (6), the washers, and the clips from both sides of pump drive (1). Move the harness assembly out of the way. Remove pump drive (1).
