The 214-6073 Retainer has been marked in order to provide proper identification for orientation. The retainer is now stamped with the word "OUT" in order to identify the side of the retainer that must face outward from the piston pin and from the piston. The part number has not changed.

The former parts that were not marked were not removed from the system. If you are installing a retainer that is not marked, make sure that the retainer is oriented correctly.

After the assembly of the piston and rod, check the rotation of the pin. If the clips are not installed correctly, the pin will not rotate smoothly. Failure to check the rotation could cause a seizure of the piston.
