1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

2. Remove bolts (1) and open guard (2) .

3. Remove cables (5) and (6). Remove wires (3) and (4). Remove cables (7) and (8) .

4. Attach a hoist and a lifting sling to starter (9). Remove bolts (10) and starter (9). The weight of the starter is approximately 39 kg (85 lb).

1. Use a lifting sling and a hoist to position starter (9). Install bolts (10). The weight of the starter is approximately 39 kg (85 lb).

2. Install cables (7) and (8). Install wires (3) and (4). Install cables (5) and (6) .

3. Close guard (2) and install bolts (1) .
