Installation Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before installation, all components and mating surfaces should be thoroughly clean. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Inspect all gaskets and seals. If any gaskets or seals are worn or damaged, use new gaskets or seals for replacement. Lubricate all O-ring seals with the fluid that is being sealed. All installation procedures should be performed in a clean work area.

  1. Use two people to install pilot manifold (8). The weight of the pilot manifold is 45 kg (100 lb). Install four bolts (24), the nuts, and the washers.

  1. Connect wiring harness connector (22) to lamp (23) .

  1. Install pilot pressure sensor (21) on pilot manifold (8). Tighten the sensor to a torque of 10 ± 2 N·m (89 ± 18 lb in).

  1. Refer to the markings on the wiring harness connectors for assembly purposes. Connect wiring harness connectors (15), (16), (17), (18), and (19) to five solenoid valves (20) .

  1. Refer to markings on lines, hoses, and tubes for assembly purposes.

  1. Connect the following hoses to pilot manifold (8) : (9), (10), (11), (12), (13) and (14) .

  1. Connect the following hoses to pilot manifold (8) : (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6) and (7) .

  1. Open the blocker valves on the hydraulic tank.

  1. Check the level of the hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check".

  1. Purge the air from the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System - Purge".
