(3) Lubricate the sealing lip of the buffer seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(4) Lubricate the sealing lip of the U-cup seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(5) Lubricate the sealing lip of the lip type seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(6) Apply 4C-4032 Bearing Mount Compound to the wiper seal groove before assembly.
(7) Use any one of the following methods to tighten the locknut:
- Lubricate the threads of the locknut with 248-7522 Hydraulic Oil and tighten to the following torque. ... 15700 ± 800 N·m (11580 ± 590 lb ft)
- Lubricate the threads of the locknut with molybdenum disulfide and tighten to the following torque. ... 13500 ± 700 N·m (9960 ± 520 lb ft)
(8) Lubricate the inside diameter and the outside diameter of three rings with clean grease.
(9) Lubricate the inside diameter and the outside diameter of the seal assembly with clean grease.
