Start By:

  1. Remove the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".
  2. Remove the right engine enclosure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enclosure Group - Remove and Install".
  3. Remove the left engine enclosure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enclosure Group - Remove and Install".

  1. Install Tooling (A) and a hoist to support assembly (3). Remove bolts (1) from the bracket assemblies. Remove bolts (2) and remove bolts (4) from support assembly (3). Remove support assembly (3). The weight of support assembly (3) is approximately 64 kg (140 lb).

  1. Remove nuts (7) and remove U-bolts (6). Disconnect clamp (5). Disconnect tube assembly (8) .

  1. Remove bolts (9) and remove cover (10) .

  1. Disconnect clamp (12) and remove pipe (11) .

  1. Use lifting slings and a hoist to remove muffler (13). The weight of the muffler is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).

Installation Procedure

  1. Use lifting slings and a hoist to position muffler (13). The weight of the muffler is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).

  1. Install pipe (11) and connect clamp (12) .

  1. Position cover (10) and install bolts (9) .

  1. Connect clamp (5). Position U-bolts (6) and install nuts (7). Connect tube assembly (8) .

  1. Use Tooling (A) and a hoist to position support assembly (3). Install bolts (2) and install bolts (4) in support assembly (3). Install bolts (1) in the bracket assemblies. The weight of support assembly (3) is approximately 64 kg (140 lb).

End By:

  1. Install the left engine enclosure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enclosure Group - Remove and Install".
  2. Install the right engine enclosure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Right Engine Enclosure Group - Remove and Install".
  3. Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".
