Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the seat. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR2848, "Seat - Remove and Install".

Note: Remove the negative lead from the battery before you work on the electric starting motor.

1. Remove six bolts (1) and washers.

2. Remove access panel (2) .

3. Remove electrical wire (3) .

4. Remove nut (4) .

5. Remove two electrical wires (5) .

6. Remove two bolts (6) and washers.

7. Remove electric starting motor (7) through the access panel.

Installation Procedure

1. Install electric starting motor (7) through the access panel.

2. Install washers and two bolts (6) to the electric starting motor. Tighten the bolts.

3. Install two electrical wires (5) .

4. Install nut (4) .

6. Install access panel (2), washers, and six bolts (1). Tighten the bolts.

7. Install the negative lead to the battery.

End By: Install the seat. Refer to Disassembly and AssemblyRENR2848, "Seat - Remove and Install".
