Floor - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure
- Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels in order to prevent the machine from moving.
- Start the engine and raise the scraper bowl until the scraper bowl is level. Place two 445 kN (50 ton) screw jacks under the scraper bowl. Shut off the engine.

- Place a suitable lifting device under the floor link. Remove two bolts (1) and bar (2) from floor (3) . Use a hammer and a brass rod to remove pin (4) from floor (3) . Lower the floor link to the ground.

- Place a suitable lifting device under the floor. Release the weight from the sliding floor rollers. Remove four bolts (5) and the shims from floor rollers (6) . Remove floor rollers (6) from floor (3) . Repeat the procedure for the other side.

- Carefully lower the floor and slowly lower the floor. Remove the floor from the scraper bowl. The floor weighs 910 kg (2006 lb) .

Installation Procedure
- Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.
- Carefully raise the floor and slowly raise the floor. Install the floor to the scraper bowl. The floor weighs 910 kg (2006 lb) .

- Install floor rollers (6) to floor (3) . Install four bolts (5) and the shims to floor rollers (6) . Adjust the floor rollers. Refer to Specifications, SENR8666 for information on adjusting the floor rollers. Remove the suitable lifting device from the floor. Repeat the procedure for the other side.

- Position the floor link to the floor. Use a soft faced hammer to install pin (4) to floor (3) . Install bar (2) and two bolts (1) to floor (3) . Remove the tooling from the floor link.

- Remove the tooling from the scraper bowl.
