Leaving the Machine

Usage:

AP-655C AYP

  • Use the steps and the handholds in order to dismount the machine. Face the machine in order to dismount the machine.

    1. Inspect the engine compartment for debris. Clean any debris from the engine compartment in order to avoid a fire. Clean any paper from the engine compartment in order to avoid a fire.

    1. If the machine is being parked for an extended period of time, for example overnight, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

      Note: If the screed is equipped with automatic controls for the burners, allow the burners to stop turning before turning off the battery disconnect switch.

    1. Extend the travel locks. Lower the screed onto the travel locks. If the travel locks are not used, place the screed on the ground.

    Vandal Guards

    During paving, the vandal guard (1) for the center console is stored on the operator station on the left side. To remove the vandal guard, lift the guard and remove the guard.

    Install the cover on the main console and lock the cover.

    Vandal guards (1) are stored on the handrail of the left operator station and the right operator station.

    Remove the cover from the handrail and install the cover.

    Note: The cover should be locked when the machine is left or stored at all times.
