Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Purge the air from the air tanks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Tanks (Brake) - Purge".

2. Remove the brake makeup tank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Brake Tank (Makeup) - Remove and Install".

3. Remove the inverter valve. Disassembly and Assembly, "Inverter Valve (Secondary Brake) - Remove"

1. Put identification marks on all hose assemblies for installation purposes. Disconnect hose assemblies (2), (3) and (4) from primary air tank (1).

2. Disconnect hose assembly (5) from primary air tank (1).

3. Remove three bolts (6).

4. Remove three bolts (7) and the washers from primary air tank (1). Remove primary air tank (1) from the machine.

Installation Procedure

1. Position primary air tank (1), as shown. Install three bolts (7) and the washers in primary air tank (1).

2. Install three bolts (6).

3. Connect hose assembly (5) to primary air tank (1).

4. Connect three hose assemblies (4), (3) and (2) to primary air tank (1).

End By:

1. Install the brake makeup tank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Brake Tank (Makeup) - Remove and Install".

2. Install the inverter valve. Disassembly and Assembly, "Inverter Valve (Secondary Brake) - Install".
