Use the following procedure to prepare the implement to be serviced:
- Park the implement in a suitable location for performing maintenance.
- Completely raise the implement.
- Stop the engine and set the parking brake.
- Make sure that the wheel transport lock valve and the wing transport lock valve is in the locked position.
- Install the service locks on the hydraulic cylinders for raising the center section.
- Install the service lock on the hydraulic cylinder for the floating hitch, if equipped.
Lubricate the following grease fittings after every 40 service hours or weekly for the following components:
- Tongue
- linkage for leveling
- Hinges for the wings
- Walking beam
- Wheel hub
- Gauge wheels
Personal injury or death could result from sudden implement movement. Lower the implement to the ground. Set the parking brake and stop engine before servicing the implement. |
