CID 0711 FMI 07 Solenoid Valve (Auto Retarder Control) Improper Mechanical Response - Test
This fault is recorded when the valve which is part of the control solenoid is malfunctioning. The ARC determines that the auto retarder pressure is present before the control solenoid is energized.
Check for all other diagnostic codes of the control solenoid and correct all other diagnostic codes of the control solenoid first. Examples are listed: FMI 03, FMI 05 and FMI 06.
Repair the control solenoid or replace the control solenoid of the ARC if the CID 0711 FMI 07 diagnostic code remains present.
