Assembly Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

1. Install new O-rings on the valve sections. Place the valve sections between manifold (15) and end plate (14) .

2. Coat all interior parts with clean hydraulic oil.

3. Install three through bolts (13) in the main control valve. Install the washers and the nuts.

4. Install fitting (11) and seal ring (12) into end plate (14) .

5. Install check valve assembly (9) or relief valve assembly (10) in the side of valve section (6) with the solenoid. Refer to illustrations 3, 4, 5, and 6.

6. Install check valve assembly (9) or relief valve assembly (10) in the side of valve section (6) with the housing.

7. Install the O-ring into housing (8) .

8. Install five O-rings into solenoid valve (5) .

9. Attach spool assembly (7) to the lever in housing (8) .

10. Install spool assembly (7) in valve section (6) .

11. Install four screws that attach housing (8) to valve section (6) .

12. Install four screws that attach solenoid valve (5) to valve section (6) .

13. Repeat Step 5 through Step 12 for the remaining valve sections in the main control valve.

14. Place pressure reducing valve (3) in position on the main control valve.

15. Install two bolts that attach pressure reducing valve (3) to the main control valve.

16. Place variable pressure reducing valve (2) in position on the main control valve.

17. Install two bolts and nuts that attach variable pressure reducing valve (2) to the main control valve.

18. Pressure reducing valve (1) is attached to the main control valve by two screws in adjacent housings (8). Remove the two screws and place Pressure reducing valve (1) in position.

19. Install the two screws that attach Pressure reducing valve (1) to the main control valve.

End By: Install the main control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Main Control Valve - Install".
