New Step Assembly Eliminates the Bottom Step {7254}

The step assembly has been changed on the 572R Pipelayer. Rubber belts (1) have been shortened in order to eliminate bottom step (2). The elimination of this bottom step provides better clearance for the ladder and the step assembly. This also reduces the buildup of material around the step assembly.
Adaptable To: The new 161-2709 Step Assembly is a direct replacement for the former step assembly of the same part number. The new step assembly is effective with the 572R PIN: 2HZ353
Pipelayer. The new step assembly is adaptable to 572R (PIN: 2HZ1-352; AAC1-UP) Pipelayers.
The former step assembly can be updated by simply removing bottom step (2) and trimming rubber belts (1). Refer to illustration 1.
