The Required Torque has been Increased for the Piston Retaining Nut in the Tilt Cylinder {5104}

Description of Change: The torque for the piston retaining nut in the tilt cylinder has been increased. The higher torque will prevent the piston retaining nut from coming loose.

Adaptable To: The new torque is effective with R2900 (PIN: 5TW331) LHD.

The new torque is adaptable to the R2900-101 to 170 and (PIN: 5TW1-330) LHD.

The torque for the 3G-5022 Locknut has been increased to 18000 ± 800 N·m (13276 ± 590 lb ft). The 3G-5022 Locknut is part of the following Tilt Cylinder : 9EL3100.

Note: Lubricate the threads of the locknut prior to tightening the locknut .

Note: Refer to the "Major Equipment Guide" for the correct tooling that is required in order to achieve the increased torque.
