Brakes, Indicators and Gauges - Test

Usage:

D350E II 2XW
Before you operate the machine, perform the following checks and make any necessary repairs.

  • Look for broken lenses on the gauges, broken indicator lights, broken switches, and other broken components in the cab.

  • Start the engine.

  • Look for inoperative gauges.

  • Turn on all machine lights. Check for proper operation.

  • Sound the horn.

  • Move the machine forward slowly and test the service brakes. If the service brakes malfunction, consult your Caterpillar Dealer for repairs.

  • Move the machine forward slowly. Move the parking and secondary brake control to the ENGAGED position in order to test the secondary brake. If the secondary brake fails to bring the machine to a stop, consult your Caterpillar Dealer for repairs.

  • Stop the engine.
