Description of Change: A 90 degree 3B-8488 Grease Fitting should be used as a direct replacement for the straight 3B-8489 Grease Fitting on the top of the boom raise cylinder. The replacement of the original grease fitting allows easier serviceability.

Adaptable To: The new grease fitting is adaptable to TH62 (PIN: 3LN1-UP; 4TN1-UP), TH63 (PIN: 3NN1-UP; 5WM1-UP), TH82 (PIN: 3JN1-UP; 3KN1-UP), TH83 (PIN: 3RN1-UP) and TH103 (PIN: 3PN1-UP) Telehandlers.

Typical example of the location of the grease fitting (1) Grease Fitting

1. Start the engine. Raise the boom and support the boom on a suitable stand. Stop the engine.

2. Clean the area around the existing grease fitting (1). Remove the existing grease fitting.

3. Install the new grease fitting. Tighten the grease fitting.

4. Start the engine. Raise the boom slightly and remove the stand.
