New Procedure to Test DASA 280C on Excavators With the HH65 Harvester Head {7610, 7620}
- Harvester Heads:
- HH65 (PIN: 4RZ1-UP)
Description of Change: There is a new procedure for testing the control of the DASA 280C on the proportional pressure on the delimbing arms. The test procedure is only applicable to excavators that are equipped with the HH65 Harvester Head.
- Start the excavator and allow the excavator to achieve normal operating temperature.
- Turn on the DASA 280C controller.
- Close the delimbing knives, the holding arms, and the feed rollers with the button on the right joystick. Hold the button in the CLOSED position for three seconds.
- Switch the DASA 280C to the programming mode.
- Enter a code of 6.4.2. The menu should read "Min/Max Settings".
- If the LED 9 shuts off, then the hydraulic flow to the head has stopped. The DASA 280C needs to be replaced. If the LED 9 stays on, make no modifications.
- If the DASA 280C is faulty, replace the DASA 280C with a new 162-7185 Unprogrammed Electronic Control Module. Install the existing 162-7187 Software Group software chip into the 162-7185 Unprogrammed Electronic Control Module. Reference Special Instruction, REHS0347-01, "Instructions for Changing the Operating Language of the DASA Computer".
