Harvester Heads:

HH55 (S/N: 3MZ1-UP)

HH65 (S/N: 4RZ1-UP)

Description of Change: A new bolt is used to secure the 179-3389 Plate and the 179-3390 Plate. An extra 8T-4200 Bolt has been added in order to secure each plate. The new bolts are effective with HH55 (S/N: 3MZ219-UP) and HH65 (S/N: 4RZ269-UP) Harvester Heads.

Adaptable To: The new bolts are adaptable to first production of the listed Harvester Heads.

1. Refer to the Service Manual module, RENR3007, "Disassembly and Assembly HH45, HH55, HH65, and HH75 Harvester Head", "Preparation for Disassembly" for instruction on preparation of the machine for disassembly.

2. Park the head in the VERTICAL position. Use a chain to secure the head to the yoke. Support the stick with an overhead hoist.

3. Remove the existing 179-3389 Plate and the 179-3390 Plate. The plates are shown in the above illustration.

4. Drill an 11 mm (0.43 inch) hole into the channel of the 179-3389 Plate and the 179-3390 Plate. The position of the holes are shown in the previous illustration.

5. Fit the plates into the frame assembly. Place a mark on the frame member in the center of the holes in Step 4.

6. Remove the plates. Drill and tap a M8 X 1.25 hole into the vertical frame member at each of the marks.

7. Assemble the plates on the Harvester Head. Install an 8T-4200 Bolt and a 156-0298 Washer in each new hole.

8. Test the assembly for interference with the measuring arm.
