Caterpillar is now using new processes to create the Service Magazine. These new processes will result in significant improvements to the format and delivery of the information contained in the Service Magazine.

    Format Changes

Some of the differences that you will find between the old format and the new format are as follows:

    • A "Table of Contents" has been added to the front of each Service Magazine. This "Table of Contents" replaces the former index "In This Issue" that was located in the back of each Service Magazine.

    • The "Table of Contents" lists the contents of the Service Magazine in the order in which the articles appear.

    • The articles in the Service Magazine will be grouped by product family (e.g. all Track-Type Tractor articles will be together).

    • Supplements are listed in the "Table of Contents" the same as any other Service Magazine article.

    Delivery Changes

The most important changes is the way Service Magazine information is delivered in the Service Information System (SIS). These changes are as follows:

All Service Magazine, "Supplement Information" will be available in SIS. Formerly, only Service Magazine articles were included.
