Description of Change: The engine oil filler cap is now attached with a lanyard. Earlier caps were not attached to the engine. The caps could be lost if the caps are misplaced or installed incorrectly. The change will only prevent the cap from being lost. The design of the cap has not changed.
Adaptable To: The lanyard for the filler cap was effective with Challenger 65E (PIN: 6GS525), Challenger 75E (PIN: 6HS528), Challenger 85E (PIN: 6JS551), and Challenger 95E (PIN: 6KS748) Agricultural Tractors. The 133-5946 Oil Filler Cap can be retrofitted to Challenger 65E (PIN: 6GS1-524), Challenger 75E (PIN: 6HS1-527), Challenger 85E (PIN: 6JS1-550), and Challenger 95E (PIN: 6KS1-747) Agricultural Tractors. The parts that are required to replace a missing cap are listed in Table 1.
Note: For existing caps, in order to obtain the benefit of a lanyard, use Items 1, 2, and 3. Then attach a cable or attach a chain that can be procured from a local source.
