(1) Chassis Control Module (CCM). (2) Fuel Pull-in Relay (MDP-R16). (3) Fuel Solenoid.

This fault code indicates the fuel hold-in solenoid output circuit has a lower than normal current and may be due to an open circuit or missing solenoid.

  1. Visually inspect fuel solenoid, Rear Main harness and connectors (C108 and C001) for cut wires, loose or separated connectors and terminals, broken or damaged parts.

Expected Result: There is damaged parts or broken parts.

    • YES, repair damaged parts as appropriate, reconnect connectors and recheck fault codes. If fault code is not active, repair is complete.

    • NO, go to Step 2.

  1. Start engine.

    Expected Result: The engine starts.

    • YES, go to Step 4.

    • NO, go to Step 3.

  1. Turn key start switch OFF and disconnect C001. Check for open circuit in Rear Main harness, Front Main harness and fuel solenoid.

Expected Result: There is an open in the circuit.

    • YES, locate and repair open circuit. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.

    • NO, go to Step 5.

  1. Turn key start switch OFF. Disconnect C001. Check circuit resistance by measuring from C001-R to chassis ground.

Expected Result: The resistance measures less than 20 ohms.

    • YES, go to Step 8.

    • NO, go to Step 5.

  1. Check for open circuit from terminals A to C of solenoid.

Expected Result: There is an open in the circuit.

    • YES, replace fuel solenoid and recheck fault codes. If fault code is not active, repair is complete.

    • NO, go to Step 6.

  1. Disconnect connector C008. Check for open circuit in Front Main harness from FM-C008-R to C108-C and C108-A to chassis ground.

Expected Result: There is an open in the circuit.

    • YES, locate and repair open circuit in Front Main harness. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.

    • NO, go to Step 7.

  1. Check for open circuit in Rear Main harness from C001-R to RM-C008-R.

Expected Result: There is an open in the circuit.

    • YES, locate and repair open circuit in Front Main harness. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.

    • NO, go to Step 8.

  1. Download latest control module software into all control modules.

Expected Result: The fault code is active.

    • YES, go to Step 9.

    • NO, repair is complete. Calibrate transmission and three-point hitch.

  1. Replace the Chassis Control Module (CCM).

Expected Result: The fault code is active.

    • YES, install the original CCM and repeat this troubleshooting procedure.

    • NO, go to Step 10.

  1. Install the original CCM.

Expected Result: The fault code is active.

    • YES, original CCM was faulty. Replace original CCM with new CCM. If fault code is not active, repair is complete. Download latest control module software into all modules. Calibrate transmission and three-point hitch.

    • NO, this fault code may have been caused by faulty connectors. Keep the original on the tractor. Clean all terminals on the CCM and reconnect. If fault code is not active, repair is complete. Download latest control module software into all modules. Calibrate transmission and three-point hitch.
