  1/2-13 NC Forcing Screw 

Start By:

  1. Remove the water pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Water Pump - Remove" for the correct procedure.

  2. Remove the engine oil pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pump - Remove".

  1. Remove 2 nuts (2), the washers and guard (1) from the alternator. Remove bolt (3), the washer and guard (4).

  2. Loosen 2 adjustment nuts (5) in order to remove V-belt (6) from the alternator.

  3. Remove 4 bolts (7) and pulley (8) from the shaft.

  4. Remove 4 bolts (9) from adapter (10).

  5. Use Tooling (A) to force adapter (10) out of the front housing. Tighten the screws evenly. Remove adapter (10) by hand and remove the O-ring seal by hand.

  6. Remove six bolts (11) from front accessory drive (12).

  7. Remove front accessory drive (12) and O-ring seal (13) from the front housing.
