(1) Right Hand Controls Module (RHC). (2) Raise/Work Switch. (3) Right Hand Console Fuse "MDP-F21". |
This fault code indicates the voltage is lower than normal at the raise input and the work input of the Chassis Control Module and may be due to open fuse at MDP-F21 or open circuit in harness.
- Enter Mode 3 at the Electronic Monitoring Center (EMC) and select identification numbers P119 (work switch) and P120 (raise switch). Actuate the raise/work switch and monitor results at the EMC display.
Expected Result: For both positions of the switch the display changes between "Hi" and "Lo".
- YES, check Mode 12 for proper setup. After all Mode 12 parameters are checked and/or corrected, save all of the values even if no changes are made. To save, press and hold the setup/select key for three seconds. Turn the key start switch OFF and wait for 10 seconds. Operate the machine. Check to see if the fault code reoccurs. If the fault code is still active, go to Step 8.
- NO, go to Step 2.

- Disconnect the raise/work switch connector C148. With the switch in the work position, check for an open circuit between switch contacts 1 and 5.
Expected Result: There is an open circuit.
- YES, replace raise/work switch. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.
- NO, go to Step 3.
- YES, replace raise/work switch. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.
- Disconnect the raise/work switch connector C148. With the switch in the raise position, check for an open circuit between switch contacts 5 and 7.
Expected Result: There is an open circuit.
- YES, replace raise/work switch. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.
- NO, go to Step 4.
- YES, replace raise/work switch. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.
- Disconnect the Right Hand Control (RHC) module connector C011. Check for an open circuit in the harness between switch connector C148-1 and C011-C7. Also check between C148-7 and C011-C6.
Expected Result: There is an open circuit.
- YES, locate and repair open circuit in the right console harness. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.
- NO, go to Step 5.
- YES, locate and repair open circuit in the right console harness. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.
- Check Cab Main harness for open circuit from connector C005-8 to the Main Distribution Panel MDP-F21-B.
Expected Result: There is an open circuit.
- YES, locate and repair open circuit in the Cab Main harness. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.
- NO, go to Step 6.
- YES, locate and repair open circuit in the Cab Main harness. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.
- Check for presence of +12 volts at the fuse (MDP-F21).
Expected Results: The voltage that is measured at the fuse is 12 DCV.
- YES, go to Step 7.
- NO, locate and repair open circuit in Cab Main harness between MDP-F21 and auxiliary power relay at MDP-R12. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.
- YES, go to Step 7.
- Check for presence of +12 volts at connector C148-5.
Expected Results: The voltage that is measured at the connector is 12 DCV.
- YES, go to Step 8.
- NO, locate and repair open circuit. Check the Cab Main harness between MDP-F21 and connector C005-8. Also check the Right Hand Console harness between connector C005-8 and C148-5. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.
- YES, go to Step 8.
- Download latest control module software into all control modules.
Expected Result: The fault code is active.
- YES, go to Step 9.
- NO, repair is complete.
- YES, go to Step 9.
- Replace Right Hand (RHC) Module.
Expected Result: The fault code is active.
- YES, install original RHC repeat troubleshooting procedure.
- NO, go to Step 10.
- YES, install original RHC repeat troubleshooting procedure.
- Install the original RHC.
Expected Result: The fault code is active.
- YES, original RHC was faulty. Replace original RHC with new RHC. If fault code is not active, repair is complete. Download latest control module software into all modules.
- NO, this fault code may have been caused by faulty connectors. Keep the original on the tractor. Clean all terminals on the RHC and reconnect. If fault code is not active, repair is complete. Download latest control module software into all modules.
