ROPS/FOPS Structure

Personal injury or death can result when voiding this certification.

Structural damage, an overturn, modification, alteration, or improper repair can impair the ROPS structure's protection capability thereby voiding this certification.

Do not weld on or drill holes in the structure.

To avoid possible weakening of this ROPS, consult a Caterpillar dealer before altering this ROPS in any way. The protection offered by this ROPS will be impaired if it has been subjected to structural damage.

Consult a Caterpillar dealer to determine this structure's limitations without voiding its certification.

Maximum Height and Reach

Ladder

Stay clear of the ladder when the operator is starting the machine and when the operator is stopping the machine. The ladder is automatically raised when the parking brake is disengaged. The ladder is automatically lowered when the parking brake is engaged.

PRESSURIZED SYSTEM: HOT COOLANT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS BURN. TO OPEN CAP, STOP ENGINE, WAIT UNTIL RADIATOR IS COOL. THEN LOOSEN CAP SLOWLY TO RELIEVE THE PRESSURE.

Bottom Guard

Open the engine hood. The warning label is located on both sides at the front of the machine near the radiator.

Do not allow personnel under the machine when you lower the bottom guard. There is no clearance for personnel when the bottom guard is lowered. Severe injury or death can occur.

Trip Point

Seat Belt

Cab Tilting

Do not tilt the cab when occupied. Before tilting the cab remove all loose articles from the cab, secure all windows and emergency exits, and then close the cab and cab riser doors. Failure to do so can result in personal injury or damage to the machine.
