Engine Crankcase Breather - Clean

- Open the engine access covers.
- Loosen the breather outlet hose clamp (1). Remove the hose (2) from the breather (3) .

- Loosen the bolt (4). Remove the breather (3) and the O-ring seal.
- Wash the breather in clean, nonflammable solvent. Use pressure air in order to dry the element.
- Check the O-ring seal for damage. Replace the O-ring seal if the O-ring seal is damaged. Install the O-ring seal.
- Install the clean breather (3). Torque the bolt to 14 ± 3 N·m (10 ± 2 lb ft).
- Install the hose (2) on the breather (3). Tighten the hose clamp (1) .
- Close the engine access covers.
