Installation Procedure

1. Verify that all of the components of the engine oil cooler are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.

2. Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

3. Clean the oil cooler core assembly with a suitable rod, as shown.

4. Lubricate the bore of engine oil cooler (6) and the O-ring seals on adapter (8) with the lubricant that is being sealed.

5. Use two people in order to install the engine oil cooler on adapter (8).

6. Install four bolts (7) into engine oil cooler (6).

7. Lubricate all O-ring seals with the lubricant that is being sealed. Install the O-ring on bonnet (4).

8. Install two gaskets (3) and (5) (not shown), and bonnet (4).

   Note: Bonnet (4) connects to the rear of all three coolers on the right side of the engine.

9. Install twelve bolts (2) into bonnet (4).

10. Install bolt (1) and the washer.

11. Fill the torque converter sump. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Torque Converter and Transmission Oil - Change".

12. Fill the hydraulic tank (hoist and brake). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hoist and Brake Tank Oil - Change".

13. Fill the engine with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change".

14. Fill the radiator with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".
