Engine Front Support - Remove

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the engine oil pan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oil Pan - Remove".

  2. Remove the fan drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Drive - Remove".

  3. Remove the vibration damper. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Vibration Damper - Remove and Install".

  1. Install Tooling (A) to the bottom of the cylinder block assembly.

  2. Position Tool (B) under the mid-position of Tool (A).

  3. Remove four bolts (1), the hard washers and the full nuts that hold front engine support (2) to support assembly (3).

  4. Loosen two full nuts (4) on the mount assembly.

  5. Loosen two full nuts (5) on the mount assembly.

  6. Use Tool (B) (not shown) to raise front engine support (2) 3.18 to 6.35 mm (0.125 to 0.25 inch) above the support assembly.

  7. Remove four bolts (6) and the hard washers that hold front engine support (2) to the engine trunnion. Remove front engine support (2) from the engine trunnion.
