Wiper Control Valve - Remove and Install

Usage:

793C 4AR

Removal Procedure

------ WARNING! ------

In order to prevent possible personal injury, release the air pressure from the air tank before disconnecting any components of the air system.

  1. Release the air pressure in the air tank.

  1. Remove top (1) of the transmission selector lever.

  1. Remove eight screws (2) .

  1. Remove rear panel assembly (3) .

  1. Remove locknut (5) from the wiper control valve.

  1. Reposition front panel assembly (4) in order to access the connections that are located on the underside of the front panel.

  1. Disconnect tubes (7), (8), (9), and (10) .

    Note: Before the tubes are removed, mark the tubes for installation purposes.

  1. Remove wiper control valve (6) .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install wiper control valve (6) .

  1. Connect tubes (7), (8), (9), and (10) .

  1. Position front panel assembly (4) .

  1. Install locknut (5) on the wiper control valve.

  1. Install rear panel assembly (3) .

  1. Install eight screws (2) .

    Note: Tighten the screws to a torque of 9 ± 3 N·m (6.6 ± 2.2 lb ft).

  1. Install top (1) of the transmission selector lever.

  1. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Starting with an External Air Supply" in order to refill the air tank.
