Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the compartment cover from the front of the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Front) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.

Note: During the removal procedure, dimmer switch (5) must be supported. If the dimmer switch is not properly supported, the dimmer switch may be damaged.

1. Remove screw (1) and washer (2) in order to disconnect the electrical wiring from the dimmer switch.

2. Remove screw (3) and washer (4) in order to disconnect the electrical wiring from the dimmer switch.

   Note: Mark the electrical wires for installation purposes.

3. Remove two screws (6) and two washers (7) from the dimmer switch.

4. Remove dimmer switch (5) .

1. Install dimmer switch (5) .

2. Install two washers (7) and two screws (6) to the dimmer switch.

   Note: When screws (6) are installed, tighten the screws to a torque of 9.5 ± 1.5 N·m (7.07 ± 1.11 lb ft).

3. Install washer (4) and screw (3) in order to connect the electrical wiring to the dimmer switch.

4. Install washer (2) and screw (1) in order to connect the electrical wiring to the dimmer switch.

End By: Install the compartment cover at the front of the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Front) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
