(2) Torque for the filler valves that are used for adjusting the track ... 35 ± 7 N·m (26 ± 5 lb ft)

(A) Dimension ... 7 ± 2 mm (0.275 ± 0.079 inch)

Note: Fill the cylinder with SAE 30W oil and evacuate all air. When the cylinder is properly bled off the cylinder should have a maximum piston movement of 3.0 mm (.12) under a load of 44 kN (9892 lb) .

Instructions for Installing the Recoil Spring

1. When the recoil spring is installed, tighten retainer (4) until the retainer bottoms out. When retainer (4) bottoms out, the retainer will be 7 ± 2 mm (0.275 ± 0.079 inch) from the frame housing.

2. Loosen retainer (4) enough to install retainer lockplates (3) .
